Localization
The localization of software, web sites and stand alone applications, combines the linguistic, cultural and technical competencies of a localization team.
The process of localization is more than the translation of a text. It involves thorough knowledge of the target language, current expressions with regional subtelties and knowledge regarding the application’s field of expertise. Moreover, it requires research regarding competing web sites or of the software being localized.
In web sites, for each localized text, the translator takes into account the client’s key words, texts from competing websites and copy writes the text in order to entice the user to action.
